Vine Cottages Excavation 2026

The Hendon and District Archaeology Society (HADAS) will be returning to the Vine Cottages site opposite the Greyhound Public House in Hendon for another archaeological excavation from Thursday 23rd July to Sunday 26th July 2026.

Following previous investigations at the site, HADAS will once again be exploring the archaeology of Vine Cottages as part of its ongoing research into Hendon’s past. The excavation will provide an opportunity to uncover more evidence about the history and development of this important local site.

The excavation is part of HADAS’s programme of archaeological work and activities, and visitors are welcome to come along and find out more about the discoveries being made.
